German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems is preparing for an investment round that could triple its value

German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems is nearing the completion of a €150 million (approximately $175 million) funding round that could triple the company’s market valuation to €3 billion.

This was reported by Reuters, citing unnamed sources from Manager Magazin.

According to Manager Magazin, Quantum Systems plans to expand aggressively by acquiring other startups and technology companies. The company’s revenues are expected to reach €300 million in 2025 and exceed €500 million in 2026.

The next, larger round of investment is planned for 2026. According to forecasts, it could raise Quantum Systems’ valuation to €5 billion.

The company has not yet commented on this information to Reuters.

The startup, which develops military and security drones, recently unveiled its new Jäger model, designed to intercept enemy drones.

Demand for such systems has grown following a series of drone incidents at major European airports.

Jäger interceptor drone

In six months, Quantum Systems has created the Jäger interceptor drone with a combined propulsion system — a solid-fuel rocket booster and electric thrust. The device climbs to 4,000 meters in just 30 seconds and is currently being tested at the Grafenwöhr test site in Germany.

Its maximum operating altitude is 5,000 meters, range is up to 25 km, and maximum speed is 365–405 km/h.

The first meters of lift are provided by four electric propellers, which lift the aircraft to a height of approximately 100 m, after which a solid-fuel rocket booster with an approximate burn time of 5 seconds is activated.

After the booster has burned out, the Jäger switches to normal electric flight.

Quantum Systems in Ukraine

In 2024, German company Quantum-Systems, which specializes in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles, opened a new manufacturing facility in Ukraine.

In April 2025, the drone manufacturer signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with the Ukrainian company Frontline. And in July of the same year, Quantum Systems acquired 10% of the Ukrainian company Frontline, with the right to increase its stake to 25%.

The investment was a logical continuation of Frontline’s $800,000 seed round, which involved Nezlamni, Startup Wise Guys, Angel One, Freedom Fund, and a number of private investors.

In August 2025, the German company announced the testing of a new Sparta drone, which can transport and launch FPV drones over long distances.
