Google has summed up the year for its Nano Banana image generation and editing tool, which debuted in August 2025.
According to the company, the model received the highest ratings among image editing tools due to its ability to preserve faces, style, and visual integrity during complex edits.
Google has published a selection of the 13 most popular use cases for the model. Among them are:

The tool has been integrated not only into Gemini, but also into Google Search and NotebookLM.
In November 2025, Google and OpenAI reduced the limits on the number of requests for their popular generative AI services, Nano Banana Pro and Sora, citing user demand. The changes mainly affected free users.
