ChatGPT launches year-end summary for users, similar to Spotify Wrapped

OpenAI is launching a feature that reviews annual activity — “Your Year with ChatGPT.”

This was reported by OpenAI.

  • Similar to its counterparts in other applications, “Your Year with ChatGPT” has vivid graphics.

  • The system analyzes how the user interacted with the chatbot throughout the year and awards special “awards” based on this.

  • For example, you can earn the title of “Creative Debugger” if you used the bot to solve problems or work out ideas.

  • The app also creates a poem and image based on the user’s interests over the past year.

According to TechCrunch, users of Free, Plus, and Pro plans can use this feature. However, there are several technical requirements:

  • The options “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history” must be enabled in the settings.

  • Users must also reach a certain minimum threshold of activity when communicating with the bot.

Owners of corporate (Team, Enterprise) and educational (Education) accounts will not have access to this feature.

How to get your year in review from ChatGPT?

Your year in review does not open automatically. To view your review, you need to click on the banner on the app’s home screen or directly ask the chatbot to show you “Your Year with ChatGPT.”

  • At launch, the feature is available to consumers in English-speaking countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

  • The review can be viewed in the web version, as well as in mobile apps on iOS and Android.
