ZAS Ventures invests in Ukrainian startup Gamow Tech, which is working on AI-fertilization technology

ZAS Ventures, a venture capital fund that supports Ukrainian startups with global ambitions, has announced an investment in Gamow Tech at a valuation of €2.4 million. The fund shared the news with AIN.

Gamow Tech is developing ReSpindle, an AI-based tool that helps improve the success rate of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures.

ReSpindle uses computer vision to analyze female egg cells and detect chromosomal abnormalities, one of the main causes of declining fertility with age.

The system provides embryologists with a non-invasive assessment of egg cell quality in real time — significantly cheaper than traditional genetic testing. This makes modern screening technologies more accessible to clinics around the world.

“ReSpindle is pioneering a breakthrough in women’s health and reproductive medicine. Their technology addresses one of the largest unmet needs in IVF — identifying viable egg cells before fertilization without invasive intervention,” said Andrew Zinchuk, Founder & Managing Partner at ZAS Ventures.

Since its inception in 2023, the fund has already invested in 17 companies in the fields of AI, SaaS, and medical technology.

About the startup

The startup was founded by embryologist Pavlo Mazur, Kostiantyn Hnennyi, and Maksym Slyzkoukh. David Mayboroda became the company’s technical director.

Gamow Tech has already signed research agreements with nine leading IVF clinics, which together cover more than 1% of the global market.

The company will use the investment to accelerate product development, conduct multi-disciplinary clinical validation, and prepare for CE certification in the EU.
