ZAS Ventures invested $150,000 in Ranking Copilot, a legal AI platform
American venture fund ZAS Ventures, which focuses on startups with Ukrainian founders, has invested $150,000 in the Ranking Copilot platform. This is a legaltech solution that automates the process of submitting applications to international legal ratings.
This was reported to AIN by representatives of the fund.
Details of the deal
-
The total investment amounted to $150,000, divided into an initial tranche of $100,000 and a follow-on investment of $50,000.
-
Ranking Copilot is an AI platform created in 2025 by Dmytro Fedoruk, a former lawyer at Clifford Chance. The main task of the product is to automate the preparation of submissions to leading legal directories such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, and IFLR1000.
-
According to the startup, preparing such applications is one of the most time-consuming processes for law firms. More than £5 billion is spent on this annually worldwide. Large firms can prepare more than 1,000 applications per year, each of which traditionally takes more than 60 hours of work by lawyers and marketers.
The Ranking Copilot platform allows you to generate project descriptions using AI and reduce administrative overhead by 90% (according to the company, preparation time is reduced from 5–7 days to 30 minutes).
In addition to attracting investment, Ranking Copilot announced a partnership with Chambers and Partners, a legal rating company.
About the investor and plans
ZAS Ventures specializes in early-stage investments in SaaS and AI products with Ukrainian founders. According to the fund’s managing partner Andrew Zinchuk, Ranking Copilot fits perfectly into their investment thesis:
“Ranking Copilot is a textbook example of what we look for: a world-class Ukrainian product team solving a painful global problem with AI. Their partnership with Chambers gives them a distribution and credibility advantage that almost no early-stage legal-tech startup can access.”
Ranking Copilot currently has over 30 law firms in Europe, the US, and the Asia-Pacific region as clients. The company plans to launch automation of marketing materials and commercial offers in 2026.
