Ukraine launches the first state-run online platform for AI

The Ministry of Digital Transformation has announced the launch of the first state-run online platform dedicated to artificial intelligence.

This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The platform brings together key information on the development and use of AI in Ukraine, creating a “single window” for businesses, government agencies, scientific and educational institutions, and international partners.

On the platform, users will be able to find:

• the latest news and key AI projects;

• practical guides, tools, and recommendations;

• an environment for startups;

• the opportunity to join the leading AI committee at the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

The ministry emphasizes that the new resource should become a starting point for Ukraine’s AI transformation and help integrate innovation into business and public administration.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is working with Kyivstar on a large Ukrainian language model. To develop the LLM, they are collecting data for training the model and forming a team of experts. 

This requires experts in the following fields:

• technology and science: architects, ML engineers, data scientists, QA engineers, project managers, natural language processing experts;

• ethics and law: specialists in human rights protection, anti-discrimination and anti-bias, lawyers specializing in personal data protection and intellectual property, etc.;

• culture and history: historians, cultural experts, experts in countering propaganda;

• linguistics: linguists, literary scholars, translators, literary editors, dialectologists, etc.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation notes that the experts will work in a working group coordinating the development of LLM or in a project office at Kyivstar.

To this end, leaders of relevant fields have already been selected to coordinate the development of LLM. They are Oleksiy Molchanovsky, Olena Andrienko, Oleksandr Alferov, and Yulia Chernobrov.
