Apple is preparing updates for its entire Mac computer lineup. The company plans to introduce new MacBook, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Studio models in the fall of 2026 and throughout the following year.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

According to the publication, Apple seeks to capitalize on growing demand for powerful computers driven by advances in artificial intelligence.

What we know about the Mac refresh

Bloomberg writes that Macs have increasingly been used in recent years to run AI models and agents, but the company is also facing a shortage of memory chips. This is affecting production.

The first new products are expected to be an updated entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with a new M6 processor and the first updated iMac in two years. They are expected to go on sale in the fall.

Apple is also working on fully redesigned 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. They will receive OLED displays and a touchscreen for the first time — this will be the biggest MacBook design change in years.

Their release is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.

In addition, the company is preparing:

• updated MacBook Air models with new processors;
• new Mac mini and Mac Studio models with more powerful chips;
• an updated budget MacBook Neo;
• an iMac with an OLED display, which may appear later.

According to Bloomberg, Mac sales have increased for the third consecutive year. Mac mini and Mac Studio have become especially popular, being actively used for AI work.

Due to high demand, certain configurations of these computers currently have lead times of up to three months.

Recall that in June 2026 Bloomberg wrote that an updated Siri voice assistant and new Apple Intelligence features could help Apple overcome the crisis related to the company’s lag in artificial intelligence.
