About Offset Labs

  • Offset Labs (ex. Byne) was founded in 2024 by engineers Denys Budnyk, Borys Nadykto, and Andrii Yakovyna. London and Kyiv-based company develops specialized AI models for signal and voice processing in operational environments, aiming to enhance defense capabilities for NATO and allied nations.

  • The company aims to create a central hub for defense AI innovation, bringing together researchers, engineers, and users to build a technological edge for democratic nations in defense and national security.

  • In 2024 Offset Labs has raised $325,000 in its first round of funding from British venture funds. Due to the sensitivity of the defense tech domain, the funds wished to remain anonymous in the public space.

“AI represents the next opportunity for a qualitative offset in defense, offering the free world a chance to solidify its technological advantage. The challenge is that AI’s nature demands unified scaling across data, talent and infrastructure,” says Borys Nadykto, CEO and Co-founder at Offset Labs.

  • The round was led by Archangel Ventures, a next-generation defense technology investment platform focused exclusively on defense-first and defense-only startups.
