Index Ventures raises €1.7 billion, bringing total investing capital to nearly €3 billion

Index Ventures, the global venture capital firm, has raised approximately €1.7 billion ($2 billion), bringing its total investing capital to nearly €3 billion ($3.5 billion) across all stages: Seed, venture, and growth.

The capital comprises a €346.9 million ($400 million) Seed fund, a €780.4  million ($900 million) venture fund, and an additional €607.01 million ($700 million) committed to the firm’s existing growth fund. This latest addition increased its €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) 2024 fund to €1.9 billion ($2.2 billion).

“They’ll enable us to keep doing what we’ve always done, backing exceptional founders from first check to the public markets and beyond, across the ten-hour time zone that runs from Tel Aviv to San Francisco, in every cycle,” the firm mentioned in its blog post.

Founded in 1996, Index Ventures is marking its 30th anniversary with the fundraise. The firm backs “exceptional entrepreneurs”. It claims that it works with entrepreneurs and their companies at every stage, whether Seed, venture, or growth, and across every sector. Its portfolio companies are supported by an experienced team of investors, strategists, and a global network.

Its portfolio companies include Adyen, Datadog, Figma, Revolut, Robinhood, Roblox, Scale AI and cybersecurity company Wiz.

Index Ventures was an early investor in Wiz, which Google agreed to acquire for $32 billion in March 2025. Google completed the acquisition in 2026.

Explaining the rationale behind the timing of this raise, the firm mentioned, “This moment feels right for it. AI is putting the power to build into more hands than ever before, accelerating the time from idea to product, and opening entire industries to disruption, from infrastructure and cybersecurity to fintech, healthcare, productivity and consumer.”

Index Ventures has remained active across Europe in recent months, backing companies spanning artificial intelligence, FinTech and healthcare. Its 2026 investments include London-based Marker, Conduct, Inherent, Scope, Adfin, Granola and Ineffable Intelligence, alongside Paris-based Parallel and Uncovr. The firm has also continued backing established portfolio companies, participating in Alan’s €480 million Series G and Wonderful’s approximately €130 million Series B.
