Realistic filters for morning meetings. Google Meet has introduced a virtual makeup feature.

Google has launched a new feature for video conferencing in Google Meet — virtual makeup created using artificial intelligence. 

• The new tool is available in the “Appearance” → “Portrait touch-up” section, where you can now choose from 12 makeup options.

• This section has been around since 2023 and already offers basic appearance correction features — skin tone evening, under-eye brightening, and eye whitening.

• According to the company, thanks to artificial intelligence, virtual makeup moves with the user and does not “slide off” even when they are drinking coffee, for example.

The feature is disabled by default, but can be enabled before or during a video call. Google Meet also remembers the selected style for future meetings.
