The Scientific Advice Mechanism (SAM) has been tasked by the College of Commissioners to develop a scientific opinion on the topic “Novel carbon capture and utilisation technologies: research and climate aspects”.
SAPEA (Science Advice for Policy by European Academies) and the SAM High Level Group of Advisors are organizing an ‘invitation only’ scientific expert workshop which will take place at the Palais des Académies in Brussels.
This scientific workshop will complement the evidence gathering that will be performed by the SAPEA Consortium. All these results will provide input for the opinion to be developed by the High-Level Group (HLG).
The opinion is due to be delivered by the end of April 2018.
