JPI HDHL will organise a conference on “Diet as leverage point towards a healthy and sustainable food system” in Brussels. During this conference, a workshop – JPI HDHL, FIT4FOOD2030 will be organised, from 14.00-16.15.
This workshop will focus on the role that research funders can play in increasing the impact of the research that they fund. Applying a holistic or systems approach and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) are ways to make the R&I system more effective, particularly when dealing with complex challenges like transition of the food system. The policy-science interface and the role of funding instruments will also be discussed. Experts from the Fit4Food2030 consortium, a project in which innovative R&I approaches are key, will present during this workshop and guide interactive exchange. It is primarily aimed at public funding agencies, foundations and private funders, but open to everyone.
