Ukrainian defense tech startup Buntar Aerospace has launched the Buntar-3 drone, which is resistant to electronic warfare. The team told AIN about this.
- Buntar-3 was in development for two years and underwent three iterations. The drone has a flight time of up to 3.5 hours, a tactical radius of up to 80 km, and can detect targets at a distance of up to 15 km.
- It has already been tested in combat missions in the Pokrovsk, Kupiansk, Lysychansk, Kurakhiv, Svatove, Belgorod, and Bryansk directions.
- One of the key advantages of Buntar-3 is the full integration of all stages of application into a single system.
Along with the UAV, Buntar Aerospace presented the Buntar Copilot software, which combines combat planning, launch, and analytics in a single cycle. The software helps plan combat operations, manage flights, and analyze mission results.
The system also allows you to control multiple aircraft simultaneously and integrates with combat platforms such as DELTA.
Buntar Aerospace emphasizes that Copilot reduces the likelihood of aircraft loss and increases the effectiveness of repeat missions. After all, the main risk in the combat use of UAVs is not technology, but the human factor: improper planning, launch in bad weather, or mistakes during the mission.
“Our focus is not just on not losing the aircraft, but on giving the pilot all the tools they need for stable, repeatable field work. This is the key to advantage,” said Bogdan Sas, co-founder of Buntar Aerospace.
In 2024, Buntar Aerospace was named Startup of the Year. The winners in 12 categories were announced at the final event held by the Innovation Development Fund with the support of the Ukrainian Startup Fund and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
