Ukraine launches WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence — a platform for the development of educational technologies
The WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence, an educational technology center created as part of the WINWIN Digital Innovation Development Strategy until 2030, has officially launched in Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reports.
The initiative is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Eastern Europe Foundation, and international partners UNICEF, ESTDEV, and Google for Education.
The center will serve as a platform for cooperation between the state, business, science, and the public sector with the aim of creating and scaling educational innovations.
It will serve as an entry point for Ukrainian and global EdTech solutions, helping to integrate them into the education system and shape learning models.
The main areas of the center’s work are:
-
analysis and research of global trends and innovations with adaptation to Ukrainian realities;
-
testing and piloting new EdTech solutions in schools and universities, with subsequent scaling of the most successful practices;
-
forming an educational ecosystem that will bring together students, teachers, universities, businesses, and clusters.
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that the center should become “a driver of breakthrough for the entire EdTech sector and a tool for increasing Ukraine’s global competitiveness.”
According to Minister Valeriya Ionan’s advisor, the center will ensure fast and safe testing of educational technologies to make innovations accessible to children, students, and teachers.
President of the Eastern Europe Foundation Viktor Lyakh added that WINWIN EdTech will help make Ukrainian education “more sustainable, technological, and capable of shaping a new generation of leaders.”
The official presentation of the center took place during the fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv. The next stage is to form a team that will develop the project and implement its mission.
As a reminder, in September, Google announced that it would provide $1.5 million in funding for the Mriia state educational ecosystem.
