Ukraine has begun serial production of Flamingo cruise missiles with a range of 3,000 km
Ukraine has begun production of a new winged missile with a range of 3,000 km called Flamingo.
Its photo was published by Ukrainian photojournalist Yefrem Lukatsky of the Associated Press. He also announced new details that will be revealed later.
According to Defense Express, this is most likely the FP-5 from the Milanion Group, which was shown at the IDEX-2025 international exhibition in the UAE in early 2025.

The missile has a range of 3,000 km and a maximum speed of 950 km/h.

The warhead weighs 1 ton, which is almost twice as much as that of the American Tomahawk Block V cruise missile, whose warhead weighs 450 kg.
Another advantage of the FP-5 is its focus on mass production. Milanion Group claims that it is capable of producing more than 50 missiles per month.
The FP-5 is equipped with satellite navigation, which is resistant to electronic warfare, and an inertial navigation system. Analysts also suggest that Milanion may be involved in the development of the FP-1 drone, which has already proven its effectiveness in Ukraine.
Ukraine already produces several types of missiles. In August 2024, the production of the Palianytsia drone missile, costing less than $1 million, was announced. At the end of 2024, a group of volunteer engineers began developing the Trembita missile. In addition to Trembita, other key developments include the Neptune cruise missile, which sank the Russian flagship Moskva in 2022, and the Grom-2 tactical ballistic missile, which is being developed at the Pivdenmash plant.
