The UK and the US are set to sign a multi-billion dollar technology deal

The United Kingdom and the United States are preparing to sign a large-scale technology agreement during President Donald Trump’s state visit to London.

This was reported by the British Embassy in Washington, according to Reuters.

The document is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ trillion-dollar technology sectors and create new opportunities for businesses and consumers.

The agreement will cover key areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, telecommunications, and quantum computing.

According to journalists, Trump’s state visit will begin on Tuesday, September 16, and will last three days. He will be accompanied by leaders of American companies, including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI President Sam Altman.

According to Sky News, investment fund BlackRock plans to invest $700 million in British data centers — this deal will be part of a package of agreements to be announced next week.

Since the beginning of the year, both countries have announced plans for action in the field of artificial intelligence. American companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI are actively opening offices in London, while British DeepMind is increasing its cooperation with the US.
