Bridging between the world of science and technology and the world of art and culture, the New European Bauhaus focuses on connecting living spaces to the ambitions of the Green Deal.
As of January 2021, the first phase is dedicated to the Design of the initiative which will materialise and accelerate already existing ideas among individuals and organisations across Europe.
The Commission therefore calls various European and national networks and umbrella organisations to become Partners and act “as promoters, community managers, sounding boards and key interlocutors”.
These exchanges of knowledge will last until Summer 2021 when a support framework is issued based on the outcomes of the designing process. The New European Bauhaus prize will also reward inspiring examples before embarking on the second step of the initiative, the delivery phase.
