Uzbek startup TASS Vision secures €1.3M led by Czech Purple Ventures to expand AI-powered customer journey tracking

TASS Vision, an Uzbek startup that revolutionizes how retailers track and optimize customer journeys using AI-powered video analysis, has secured €1.3 million in funding, led by Purple Ventures. The investor shared the news with AIN.

About TASS Vision

• TASS Vision is a startup founded in 2021 by Shakhzod Umirzakov and Jamshidjon Khakimjonov. The company develops edge AI cameras for in-store customer journey tracking and shelf interaction analysis. 

• Its two core products, Vitrac and Sitrac, work entirely on-device without sending data to the cloud, prioritizing customer privacy. TASS Vision is currently used in over 2,000 retail stores across 10 countries and collaborates with more than 100 brands in sectors such as electronics, fashion, FMCG, and pharmaceuticals.

Investment details 

The investment round was led by Purple Ventures with a €500,000 contribution. The remaining amount came from funds including Domino VC, Pragma Tech VC, Sabah Fund, Caucasus VC, Big Sky Capital, and IT Park VC.

• Purple Ventures is a Brno-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, tech-enabled startups across Central and Eastern Europe. 

• It targets companies with proprietary software solutions that aim for global reach and often already generate revenue. The fund focuses on sectors such as digital health, modern energy, the creator economy, and security.

The funding will support TASS Vision’s expansion into key markets across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Eurasia, as well as the development of a new generation of hardware featuring proprietary AI cameras.
