Polish robotic company SR Robotics secures €8.4M in funding to expand operations

SR Robotics (SRR), a Katowice-based company specializing in underwater robotics, has secured €8.4 million funding. The round was backed by Vinci Fund to enhance production capacity and scale their Robot-as-a-Service model, EU-Startups reports.

About SR Robotics

  • Founded in 2017, SR Robotics (SRR) specializes in remotely operated and autonomous underwater robots, as well as eco-friendly ship hull cleaning services. 

  • The company develops dual-use robots for both civil and defense sectors, focused on tasks such as unexploded ordnance detection, seabed mapping, and safeguarding critical underwater infrastructure. 

  • SRR also provides comprehensive service packages, including robot configuration, operator support, and remote diagnostics.

Investment details

The round was backed by Vinci Fund, managed by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego Group. Vinci is a private equity and venture capital firm focused on investing in high-growth startups and early-stage companies.

The capital raised in this round will be used to expand SR Robotics’ production capacity, increase the availability of its robotic fleet under the Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) model, establish a Remote Operations and Analysis Centre, and create a training center for unmanned underwater vehicle operators.
