End of free generation: Sora and Nano Banana Pro reduce request limits amid high demand
Google and OpenAI have reduced the limits on the number of requests for their popular generative AI services, Nano Banana Pro and Sora, citing user demand. The changes mainly affected free users.
The restrictions took effect on the eve of the holiday weekend, forcing users to use AI generation capabilities more sparingly.
- Free users will now only be able to create six videos per day in Sora. Users can always purchase additional generations if needed. Limits for paid ChatGPT Plus and Pro subscribers remain unchanged, although their specific values are not specified.
- Google has also introduced restrictions for free users, who can now generate only two images per day, down from the previous limit of three.
- Google warned that limits may change frequently without notice, which is standard practice after the release of particularly popular products.
