SoftwareOne has completed the acquisition of Crayon. Both companies have offices in Ukraine
On July 2, 2025, Swiss software and cloud solutions provider SoftwareOne Holding AG officially completed the acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares of Norwegian Crayon Group Holding ASA. This was reported to AIN by SoftwareOne representatives.
Both companies have offices in Ukraine and provide solutions for digital transformation, IT infrastructure optimization, and cloud technologies in the local market.
The deal involves the merger of two key industry players, which together will employ around 13,000 people in more than 70 countries.
On July 3, 2025, the combined company’s shares will begin trading on Euronext Oslo Børs under the ticker symbol SWON.
The integration process, which has been carefully prepared by both companies since the beginning of 2025, officially began today.
Raphael Erb, Co-CEO of SoftwareOne, said: “Combined with the technological challenges of the artificial intelligence era, this opens up new opportunities for growth.”
The merger has a strong strategic rationale: the companies complement each other in terms of market presence, customer base, and range of services. They are also united by a customer-oriented culture. The companies’ combined revenue is about CHF 1.6 billion per year.
After the merger, the company will operate under the SoftwareOne brand, while the Crayon brand will be temporarily retained to ensure continuity in interactions with customers, partners, and the team.
The integration begins immediately. The companies’ working groups—across strategy, marketing, human resources, IT, and finance—have been preparing for several months. A new executive board, headed by co-CEOs, along with regional presidents, has already been appointed.
“At Microsoft, we’ve been proud to call both Crayon and SoftwareOne strategic partners. Together, they become one of our largest partners, positioned better than ever to serve our mutual customers with broader reach, deeper expertise, and enhanced capabilities,” says Nicole Dezen, CVP and Chief Partner Officer at Microsoft.
