Ukraine’s Skyeton to produce Raybird attack drones in the UK

The Ukrainian company Skyeton and the British Prevail Partners will create a joint venture to produce Raybird attack drones. Both companies announced the cooperation on their websites.

This is the first joint venture of this level in the field of UAVs between Ukraine and the UK.

The production will be based in the UK and will create 160 jobs. The British side, Prevail Partners, will provide expertise in integrating the platforms into combat operations and the needs of Western armies, while the Ukrainian side, Skyeton, will ensure the mass production of drones that have already proven effective in the war against russia.

The joint venture will scale up production for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the British Armed Forces and other Western countries.

According to Skyeton’s estimates, Raybird drones have destroyed billions of dollars worth of enemy equipment, while the losses of the drones themselves have been extremely low.

About Raybird

The Raybird is a NATO Class 1 drone that can quickly change payloads without any tools. Depending on the task, the drone can be equipped with:

  • a high-accuracy camera for detecting and tracking targets,

  • a high-resolution reconnaissance camera,

  • a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that generates images even in the dark or during bad weather,

  • or a locator that detects radio signal sources.

The Raybird drone has flown more than 350,000 hours in combat operations for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The device is capable of staying in the air for up to 28 hours, deploying in 25 minutes and operating at altitudes of up to 10,000 meters.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Tech company Frontline signed an agreement with German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems.
