
Polish fintech startup Paymove secures around $860k in a new investment round
Polish fintech startup Paymove has secured approximately $860,000 in a new investment round from Polish venture capital funds Kogito Ventures, S20 Fund, N50, as well as business angels Grzegorz Kaczor and Piotr Pajda. Puls Biznesu first reported on the deal.
- Paymove was founded in 2022 by Piotr Piotr Mazur, Tomasz Gęsior, and Kamil Kuper.
- The company’s solution enables businesses to accept fast, secure payments through QR codes without the need for hardware or mobile apps.
- According to the company, the solution is available in over 700 locations in Poland.
- In August it had over 61,000 active users and an average rating of 4.83/5 based on 100,000 reviews.
Kogito Ventures is a Polish VC, which, at the end of 2024, secured €15.2 million from PFR Ventures to launch its second fund, aiming to invest in approximately 25 pre-seed and seed-stage companies. The fund maintains a generalist approach, focusing on the Polish market and Polish founders abroad. It plans to invest between €117,000 and €1.16 million, reserving nearly half of its capital for follow-on investments.
