Over 1 million business customers worldwide use OpenAI

OpenAI has announced that the number of business users of its products has exceeded 1 million.

This is stated on the company’s website.

Its clients include Amgen, Booking.com, Cisco, T-Mobile, Target, Morgan Stanley, Lowe’s, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and other large businesses.

These companies use ChatGPT for Work or directly integrate OpenAI models into their services through the development platform.

  • 800 million people use ChatGPT every week;
  • 7 million ChatGPT for Work seats (40% growth in 2 months);
  • ChatGPT Enterprise usage has grown 9 times in a year.

In addition, OpenAI has introduced a number of enterprise features. These include:

  • Company Knowledge — GPT-5, which can analyze documents in Slack, SharePoint, Google Drive, GitHub, etc.;
  • Codex — a model for generating and verifying code, which reduces review time by 50%;
  • AgentKit — a platform for quickly creating corporate agents; for example, Carlyle reduced development time by half.

Companies are not only implementing OpenAI, but also building products based on it. Canva, Spotify, Etsy, Walmart, PayPal, Salesforce, and others have already implemented AI into their services.

On November 3, OpenAI and Amazon Web Services (AWS) signed a multi-year agreement that will allow OpenAI to launch and scale its AI systems on AWS infrastructure. The companies will collaborate for at least seven years.
