Austrian startup mypaperwork.ai raises €500k pre-seed to expand European immigration platform

mypaperwork.ai, an Austrian platform that simplifies residence and work permits in Europe, has raised €500,000 in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Angels United to fuel product growth and European market entry.

• mypaperwork.ai is a Vienna-based AI-powered migration platform designed to simplify complex immigration and administrative procedures across Europe. According to the company, by offering intuitive digital tools, it helps applicants navigate bureaucratic hurdles with confidence and clarity.

• The company was founded by Maggie Childs, Benjamin Wolf and Czech Vit Lichtenstein, with a diverse team including Ukrainian experts like CTO Serhiy Kauk and marketing lead Anna Ivanova.

• In April 2025, mypaperwork.ai introduced its first commercial product, the RWR+ Card Application Assistant, supporting over 80,000 Ukrainians in Austria with residence applications. The platform has since expanded to cover skilled workers, EU Blue Card, and student permits.

Investment details 

The round was led by Angels United, a joint venture led by Karl Büche, Markus Ertler, Hermann, Niki Futter, and Michael Edtmayer, provided the funding. 

Angels United is an Austrian early-stage venture investor, focusing on pre-seed and seed-stage tech startups primarily based in Austria.

With the new funding, mypaperwork.ai will enhance capabilities, expand the product, and enter the Czech market in Q4 2025, followed by broader European expansion in 2026.
