Polish deeptech startup Microamp secures funding from Balnord and ffvc to scale mmWave systems

Microamp, a ‍Polish startup which develops 5G mmWave wireless systems, has secured strategic funding to develop and scale their systems. The investment round was led by Balnord with participation from ffVC.

About Microamp

• Microamp is a Polish deep-tech startup, founded in 2019, developing private 5G mmWave networks with ultra-fast data transfer and low latency. 

• It builds its own radio units, 5G core, and software for industries, logistics, and AR/VR applications.

The investment round was led by Balnord with participation from ffVC. The amount of the deal was left undisclosed.

• Balnord is a venture fund investing in deep tech and frontier tech startups from Poland and the Baltic Sea region at early and later stages, focusing on supply chain, healthcare, space tech, and dual-use solutions.

• ff Venture Capital is a US-Japanese-Polish fund investing in innovative technologies and high-growth startups. It combines capital and expertise from three major tech markets and provides access to a partner network in the Asia-Pacific region, supporting companies in dual-use technologies and critical infrastructure.

Microamp has also been selected for the NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) program, ranking among the top 4% of startups in dual-use technologies, confirming the strategic importance of its solutions for European and transatlantic security.

Microamp will use the funding to develop and scale its 5G mmWave systems, expand deployments in industrial and defense sectors, and accelerate its global market expansion.
