Meet us next week at #EURegionsWeek in Brussels

You can expect a very busy activity during all 4 days: 170 sessions, 6.000 participants, officials from EU institutions and national and regional organisms and other relevant stakeholders. Hence, at least, this is a unique moment to make friends and expand your network in all possible levels.

At this stage you have booked the sessions of your preference, but we still have a special surprise for you. The Interreg MED Programme invites you to visit the stand #MadeWithInterreg at the exhibition area. You will see that there will be much to discover and we believe that you cannot resist this opportunity.

Our Programme, jointly with North Sea, Baltic Sea and Balkan-MED, is coordinating this very relevant promotion activity, on behalf of another nine Interreg TNC programmes: Danube, Central Europe, ADRION, Alpine Space, Balkan-MED, Atlantic Area, Northern Periphery and the Arctic, SUDOE and Northwest Europe.

#Madewithinterreg is difficult to miss, since it is a scaffold, following a graphic concept of “#Madewithinterreg – Interreg works”, to visibly stand out among 17 other stands, featuring mainstream and cooperation programmes.

The stand features outstanding Interreg projects and showcases how transnational cooperation is a strong arm in EU cohesion policy, by providing tangible benefits on the ground. 24 stories of projects of all these 12 programmes, including two Interreg MED projects, will be showcasing their productions at different occasions:

  • Tuesday  9, between 10.00 – 13.30, the LOCATIONS project partners, from the Urban Transports community, will meet with the public, at the stand, to present their experiences and their project conclusion on traffic jams in port cities of the Mediterranean, generated by cruise ships;
  • During all week, the BLUEMED project, from the Sustainable Tourism community, will display three ancient moulds from underwater museums at the stand;
  • Tuesday 9, between 17.00 – 18.00, BLUEMED will also be pitching its conclusions on underwater cultural heritage, at the Q&A area of the exhibition.

Moreover, if you have the chance to visit us, you can experience transnational cooperation through 12 objects, brought by each programme, to highlight a tangible result of one of their projects.

October 10, 14:30 – 16:00: besides their participation in the exhibition, both LOCATIONS and BLUEMED were selected to present themselves in the session “Interreg Talks: 6 projects, 1 slam”, organised by Interact.

You can benefit, as well, by meeting two representatives of project excellence in transnational cooperation, at the grand opening in 8th October 2018: this years’ transnational Regiostar finalists – the ClimACT and the Danube-Iron-Age project partners. They will be on spot, ready to talk about their successes in fostering a low-carbon economy and bringing our cultural history to life, respectively.
We can’t wait for your visit.
