Estonian deeptech Jälle Technologies raises €2M in pre-seed funding to advance sustainable battery recycling
Jälle Technologies, an Estonian deeptech startup, has raised €2 million in pre-seed funding to advance it mission of transforming end-of-life lithium-ion batteries into critical raw materials. The round was backed by grant support from Enterprise Estonia (EIS) and the Environmental Investment Centre (KIK) with participations from Kiilto Ventures, 2C Ventures, and experienced angel investors.
About Jälle Technologies
-
Jälle Technologies is a Tallinn-based deeptech company specializing in sustainable battery recycling and urban mining. Jälle’s proprietary recycling processes efficiently recover metals and upcycle graphite waste into high-value graphene-like materials.
-
With the global demand for lithium-ion batteries surging due to electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage solutions, its mission is to close the loop on critical raw materials, and develop superior materials, creating a circular upvalued battery economy.
“Recovering critical materials at scale is a real challenge. Our focus is on making sure what we build isn’t just great science, but something the industry can rely on. Producing graphene-like materials could improve everything from composites to construction, making materials stronger, lighter, more conductive, and more efficient,” says Kerli Liivand, CTO of Jälle Technologies.
