Finnish healthtech Gosta Labs raises €7.5M to scale AI operating system for oncology and complex medical specialties

Gosta Labs, a Helsinki-based healthtech company founded by the ex-Kaiku Health founders, has closed a €7.5 million seed round to scale its AI operating system for complex medical specialties. The round was led by Voima Ventures, with participation from COR Group, the Aho family, and both existing and new investors. 

About Gosta Labs

• Gosta Labs, founded in 2023 by Lauri Sippola and Henri Viertolahti, is a healthtech company developing an AI operating system for complex medical specialties, including oncology. The system captures and structures clinical data in real time, automates documentation, and links treatment decisions to international guidelines, aiming to support more efficient and consistent care. Gosta Labs’ platform is already in use with healthcare providers in Finland, Switzerland, the Baltics, and Australia.

• According to the company, early real-world results presented at the ESMO 2025 Congress show that the system can generate structured oncology consultation notes in real time, automatically classify key clinical parameters, and reduce follow-up visit documentation to a median of under two minutes. This suggests potential improvements in oncology workflow and documentation efficiency.

Investment details

The round was led by Voima Ventures, with participation from COR Group, the Aho family, and both existing and new investors, including Reaktor and a group of notable angel investors.

• Voima Ventures, is a Helsinki-based venture capital firm, specializing in deep tech investments across the Nordic and Baltic regions. The firm focuses on science-driven startups in sectors such as life sciences, advanced manufacturing, quantum computing, AI, and sustainable materials.

• The company invested in ArgusEye, Sooma, SemiQon, StemSight, Aisti and Avenue Biosciences.

Gosta Labs will use the €7.5 million seed funding to scale its AI operating system for oncology, expand to new markets, grow its engineering, product, and clinical teams, and further develop integrations and medical-grade AI capabilities to support more efficient, personalized cancer care.
