Google launches Doppl app to try on clothes online

Google launches Doppl, an experimental app that uses artificial intelligence to show how your own clothes will fit you. It is available on iOS and Android, but so far only in the United States, TechCrunch reports.

With Doppl, you can virtually try on clothes on digital versions of yourself. First, the app asks you to upload a full-length image of your body. Then you can use photos or screenshots of different clothes to try them on.

In addition, the app can turn your images into an AI-generated video to give you a better idea of how the clothes will look in real life.

You can save your favorite images and share them with others.

Google says the new app builds on the recently introduced Google Shopping features that allow you to try on clothes virtually. By bringing this feature into a separate app, Google is making it more accessible.

Since the launch is experimental, it is not known whether Google plans to expand the app to other regions and, if so, when exactly.

As a reminder, Google DeepMind artificial intelligence research team presented its new AI model for robots Gemini Robotics On-Device. They say that it is their most powerful VLA model that can work locally without the Internet.
