Frontline and ARX Robotics have presented a robotic system for the frontline. How does the system work?
The Ukrainian Defense Tech company Frontline and the German developer of autonomous ground systems ARX Robotics have presented a joint combat module that combines the Combat Gereon unmanned ground system and the Storm grenade launcher.
This was reported to AIN by Frontline.
What is known about the integration
-
Combat Gereon is an unmanned ground system by ARX Robotics, created according to the Unmanned First Contact concept, where robots take on the most dangerous tasks on the front line.
-
Burya is a combat turret from Frontline for the Mk-19 automatic grenade launcher. It has been mass-produced since the beginning of 2025 and is already in use by Ukrainian units.
-
The integrated module is capable of providing fire support to infantry and other high-risk tasks, significantly reducing threats to personnel.
ARX Robotics is a European Defense Tech company specializing in the creation of unmanned ground systems of the Gereon RCS series and the Mithra OS operating system based on artificial intelligence. Its solutions modernize ground forces by integrating robotics, sensors, and autonomy into existing equipment to form “smart” units. ARX technologies are already used in the armies of several European countries, including Ukraine.
Earlier, Frontline, in cooperation with the Estonian manufacturer Milrem Robotics, has already integrated the Burya grenade launcher with the THeMIS ground unmanned system. At the time, the companies confirmed that they plan to continue cooperation and preparation for the system’s use at the front.
