
American defense tech Firehawk Aerospace oversubscribes $60M investment round
Firehawk Aerospace, a US-based defense technology leader specializing in advanced energetics and propulsion, has secured investment from its new strategic partner Presto Tech Horizons (PTH) in an oversubscribed Series C round, which concluded this September. The $60 million investment round was led by 1789 Capital. PTH shared the news with AIN.
- Firehawk is pioneering the world’s first scalable use of 3D printing for propellant and solid rocket motors, enabling faster, safer, and more flexible production of advanced energetics
- Essentially, iInstead of slow, hazardous casting, the company 3D-prints propellants in days instead of months with complex designs once thought impossible. According to the company, its process cuts production time by over 99%, making motors safer, scalable, and adaptable across defense and space systems.
- This breakthrough can redefine the energetics supply chain and unlocks rapid, reliable ammunition production.
