From the 12th to the 15th of October 2020, Brussels will hold its major event dedicated to cohesion policy: the European Week of Regions and Cities. Now in its 18th edition, the #EURegionsWeek has become over the years a fundamental platform where decision-makers and experts can meet, work together and take notice of the importance of regions and cities in EU policy-making.
How can you join this event? By creating your Regional Partnership!
Indeed, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), which are the organisers of the event, ask regions and cities to create a group of other local and regional authorities (minimum 3, maximum 12 partners) planning a session during the week, aimed at exchanging experience and good practice, and facilitating cooperation and networking.
The edition’s themes are Green Europe, Cohesion and Cooperation, and Empowering Citizens.
You can also propose more than one activity ! In this case, please be aware that you need to present one application for each activity, because multiple entries will be disregarded.
Last but not least, this year, the organisers will pay a special attention to gender equality during the selection process. You should, therefore, take this criteria into consideration when organising your session. If gender equality is not reached, your session will not be selected or might be cancelled.
Find your partners and join forces, fill the online application form and submit the requested information by the deadline of 27th March 2020!
