The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) conferences are among the main European policy fora for innovation and regional development. The 9th edition will take place on 4-6 July 2018 in Innsbruck, Austria and will look into three smart choices for regional ecosystems of innovation: Science & Research, Entrepreneurship and Connectivity. It will showcase concrete examples of well-functioning R&I ecosystem and will inspire new practices to stimulate it. WIRE is financed under the Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation part of Horizon 2020-work programme and brings together regional, national and European innovation experts and stakeholders, including public organisations, policymakers, research communities and enterprises.
