About RoboTwin

  • RoboTwin is a Czech startup, founded in 2021 by Ladislav Dvořák, Megi Mejdrechová and David Polák. It’s transforming manufacturing automation by allowing workers to teach robots through simple task demonstrations, eliminating the need for programming skills.

  • The company’s solutions improve productivity and safety across industries such as spray painting, grinding, and assembly, making automation accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises.

“For the next wave of automating manufacturing processes, we believe it requires robots that can easily learn from humans. This will allow for robotization of continuously smaller batch sizes and new use cases for industrial robots, also in SMEs without prior experience in robotics. We were impressed by the readiness of RoboTwin’s technology and are looking forward to working with the strong team behind RoboTwin,” says Ladislav Bartoníček, Partner at the lead investor BD Partners, former shareholder and founding member of PPF.

The funding round was backed by BD Partners, Y Soft Ventures, EIT Manufacturing, Joerg Dr. Rupp, and an EU grant.

  • BD Partners is a Czech venture capital firm focused on finding innovative investment opportunities, particularly in Europe-based startups. The firm prefers post-revenue companies and invests capital along with personal experience to support growth.
