Tallinn fintech startup Creem raises €1.8M to build financial infrastructure for AI-first businesses

Creem, a Tallinn-based fintech startup building financial infrastructure for AI-first businesses, has secured €1.8 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Practica Capital, alongside Antler and several angel investors. The company shared the news with AIN via press release.

About Creem

  • Creem was founded by former Google and Adyen engineers Gabriel Ferraz and Alec Erasmus. Tallinn-based company provides software that enables startups to manage payments, compliance, tax obligations, and multi-party revenue distribution, including payouts in both traditional currencies and stablecoins.

  • Creem’s early customer base consists of small, distributed AI-focused teams, particularly in markets where access to international financial services is limited.

  • The platform’s recently introduced “Revenue Splits” feature allows startups to automate payments to contributors and partners, replacing manual reconciliation processes.

“AI is blowing open the doors of entrepreneurship – but the infrastructure hasn’t caught up. These aren’t big corporates with finance departments. They’re lean, fluid teams of builders and contributors from all over the world. We’re building the rails they need to operate at speed, scale, and transparency,” said Gabriel Ferraz, co-founder and CEO of Creem.

Investment details

The investment round was co-led by Practica Capital and Antler. They were joined by angel investors including Voi co-founder Johan Pietilä, former Mastercard adviser Martin Olofsson, as well as contributors linked to Revolut and Crypto.com.

  • Practica Capital is a Lithuanian venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in the Baltic region. It primarily backs technology-driven startups, supporting them from seed to growth stages with a hands-on approach.

  • Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm with headquarters in Singapore. Operating in over 30 cities worldwide, Antler invests seed funding ranging from $100,000 to $190,000 in exchange for 10–12% equity. The firm focused on AI, fintech, healthtech, and sustainability, with notable investments in Airalo and Wrtn.

The new funding will be used to expand Creem’s payment capabilities across additional markets, build out its compliance stack, and further develop the programmable financial tooling underpinning its OS for AI startups.
