Cloudflare has reported widespread disruptions. Some global services and websites are temporarily unavailable

Cloudflare said it’s seeing a bunch of 500 errors. Some global services and websites are temporarily unavailable.

The company  shared this on its official website.

The Cloudflare team noted that it is working to determine the full scope of the incident and resolve it.

At the same time, the company recorded malfunctions in its support portal and carried out scheduled maintenance in some data centers.

According to Bloomberg, Cloudflare powers hundreds of thousands of websites around the world, acting as an intermediary infrastructure link between web resources and users. The company protects services from DDoS attacks and overload.

In July 2019, a similar failure in internal software caused network overload and took down thousands of websites, including Medium, Discord, Shopify, SoundCloud, Coinbase, and Dropbox. The problems lasted up to 30 minutes.

In June 2022, a malfunction in 19 Cloudflare data centers caused a significant portion of global traffic to stop for about an hour and a half.

Updated at 6:00 p.m. Cloudflare reported that it had identified the cause of the malfunction and fixed it, but some customers may still have problems logging into the Cloudflare control panel.
