Defense startups Clarity, Dwarf Engineering, and Farsight Vision raise $60K at Brave1 Defense Tech Valley 2025

On September 16-17, Lviv Arena hosted Defense Tech Valley 2025, organized by the Brave1 cluster and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

  • The event brought together more than 5,000 participants, including government officials, military personnel, venture capitalists, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and international defense companies and startups from more than 50 countries.

  • More than 230 defense technology manufacturers were represented at the exhibition. Missiles, interceptor drones, artificially intelligent unmanned aerial vehicles, laser systems, balloons, ground robotic systems and turrets for shooting down kamikaze drones, electronic warfare systems and communication technologies were demonstrated.

  • For practical testing of Ukrainian ground robotic systems, the organizers set up an NRC arena with obstacle courses simulating various combat scenarios, including city ruins, forest areas, sand and gravel surfaces. Visitors could test more than 20 models of equipment in real conditions.

Defense Tech Valley 2025

The summit included a Battle Proven competition for defense startups with a prize fund of $60,000. The winners were Clarity (Trail Blazers), Dwarf Engineering (Gamechangers), and Farsight Vision (Power Players). Blue Bird received a special award for its drone detection and jamming systems.

The program also featured presentations by about 100 speakers, including international and Ukrainian defense experts, military personnel, foundation representatives, and technology experts: Haluk Bayraktar (Baykar Defense), Colonel Andrii Lebedenko (Armed Forces of Ukraine), Yurii Myronenko (Ministry of Defense), Taras Chmut (Come Back Alive Foundation), Kimberly Kagan (ISW), James Lithgow (Shield.ai) and representatives of Ukrainian companies DeViro, Fire Point, The Fourth Law.
