Every week, 800 million people use ChatGPT

OpenAI has reached a new stage of development: ChatGPT is used by over 800 million people every week.

This was announced by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, according to TechCrunch.

He said that ChatGPT is being used more and more not only by consumers, but also by developers, businesses, and government agencies.

During his speech at the OpenAI Dev Day conference, he noted that more than 4 million developers are already creating products based on OpenAI, and more than 6 billion tokens are processed every minute through the API.

Last week, OpenAI became the world’s most valuable private company after SoftBank sold shares worth $6.6 billion, valuing it at $500 billion. 

For SoftBank, this deal was a continuation of its previous participation in OpenAI’s $40 billion funding round.

At the same time, OpenAI continues to actively develop new products, including an updated version of the Sora video generator and an agent commerce platform created in collaboration with Stripe.
