The Second Ministerial Conference on Sustainable Blue Economy will take place on 2 February 2021, aiming at improving maritime governance while addressing the environmental and climate-related challenges the blue economy sectors are currently facing.
The Conference is by invitation only and will take place virtually. It is copresided by the European Union and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Participants include Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, European Commission ; Marwan Al-kheetan, Jordanian Minister of Transport ; Nasser Kamel, Secretary General from the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean and Ian Borg, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects from Malta.
