VINA stands for Validating Non formal and Informal Skills and it is a European co-founded project about skills validation in Adult Education.
The consortium of the project, coordinated by an italian organization EURO – Research Centre, Promotion and EU Initiative together with other partners from the Czech Republic (European Development Agency), United Kingdom (European Learning Network Ltd), Greece (e-Compass) and Poland (Fundacja Instytut Rownowagi Spoleczno Ekonomicznej) created a database and a Recognition Opportunities Tendency Analyzer (R.O.T.A.) aimed at validating non-formal and informal skills of individuals.
The database was prepared to help users looking for information, projects, European, national and international organizations and tools for validating non-formal and informal learning. The database is available at https://db.vinaproject.eu
At the same time, the “Opportunity Tendency Analyzer” (R.O.T.A.) was created. This mechanism uses a special algorithm and the tools available in the database are evaluated by their number of views. The results are shown in the table and in graphical form. Tools are also organized by country of origin, type of device from which the tools were displayed, etc. The analyzer is available at: https://db.vinaproject.eu/rota-analyzer
Even before the end of the two-year VINA project, a public seminar will be held in Prague on 20th November 2018, where the whole project with its outputs will be presented. The participants will have a chance to get acquainted with the database and the analyzer and ask about anything regarding its usage and the whole project in general.
